1. PROCESS OPERATORS

Applicants should have a minimum of Secondary education with at least 6 years of experience in LNG, LPG, Sour Gas Processing, Sulphur Recovery, Refinery or a similar process environment together with a mechanical aptitude and basic knowledge of process instrumentation and DCS Operations.

2. UTILITY OPERATORS

Applicants should have a minimum of Secondary education with at least 6 years of experience in operating and monitoring the following plants and equipments:

Fuel Gas/Sour Gas system, cooling water pumps and exchangers, desalination plant, potable water units, demineralizing units and softeners, nitrogen operators and cryogenic equipments, Air compressors and dryers, Flare system and sour/wet dry flare knock out drums, DCS, PLC, Foxboro, Etalba and Fire gas sytem, Permit to work system, Emergency response.

3. POWER OPERATORS

Applicants should have at least 6 years of experience in operating and monitoring Gas Turbines with DLN Technology, Frame V/VI GE turbines and generators, Boilers and heat recovery steam generators. Mark V/VI speedtronic control system, Fire and gas system, Electrical network control system, Emergency response.

In addition, candidates for all 3 roles above must meet the following competency

requirements:
• High aptitude with Safety Management Systems
• High level of competency in relationship AND team building including communicative skills in English Language between peers.

4. FIELD OPERATORS - STORAGE AND LOADING

Applicants should have a minimum of Secondary education with at least 6 years of experience in LNG, LPG or AMMONIA Storage and Loading with specific knowledge/experience working within Berth operations LNG or LPG, Sea Water systems, Cooling Water systems, Gas COMPRESSOR OPERATIONS (bog), Cryogenic pumps//systems, Fuel Gas/Flare system, Centrifugal large scale Compressor stations/network, Heavy duty centrifugal/vertical pumps, Gas plant/LPG Operations.

BBC Proms 2012 – August, September


Part of the fun of the Proms is figuring out what trends prevail. Test your wits and knowledge of repertoire this year. This is part 2 of 2. For my introduction to the BBC Proms 2012 and the July highlights, please read HERE.

Lots of British music, of course, because the eyes and the ears of the world will be on London. A very British Bach Mass in B minor- Harry Bicket and the English Concert on 2/8. Several large scale youth orchestra concerts  during the Olympics period. One worth braving the crowds for will be the Bernstein Mass on 6th August with 10 - ten !- Welsh choirs and orchestras. Bernstein believed not so much in religious Mass as in mass display, so it should be sheer theatre. Cool down with Scandinavians on 9/8 - Sibelius, Grieg, Nørgård (recommended!) and Delius, an honorary Norwegian. Roderick Williams will sing Delius rare Cynara. Elgar's The Apostles makes another Proms appearance in less than 5 years. For once, not having Three Choirs at the same time means we need more Elgar in London. Jacques Imbrailo sings Jesus, which will make this a must. A Berlioz Requiem on 11/8 (Toby Spence). This isn't a religious trend as some of these composers weren't devout. Delius A Mass fof Life opens the Edinburgh Festival or it would otherwise have been an obvious choice for the Proms.

Schoenberg Gurrelieder on 12th August. The two parts of Gurrelieder differ, posing all kinds of interpretive possibilities. In many ways, it inhabits the world of Dvořák bursting out into glorious light. Not at all the stereotype image of Schoenberg. Christine Schäfer does Pierrot Lunaire on 27/8 with Martyn Brabbins. More Schoenberg before he "became scary". Ralph Vaughan Williams triple bill (Manze, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra) and a John Cage Celebration. Then BCMG does modern British composers - Knussen, Goehr and Simon Bainbridge.(more Goehr and Knussen on 25/8).

Next year will be Britten year, but this summer,Edward Gardner holds up the Britten flag with Peter Grimes. Why the BBC notes connect it to the Second World War, I don't know, as Britten didn't like war and the mob behaviour it fosters. But still, if the performance is good, as it should be with this cast. John Adams Nixon in China on 5/9 conducted by Adams himself. Kathleen Kim is singing Madam Mao. She's fesity, and a star to watch out for.The new production of Mozart the Marriage of Figaro sold out completely at Glyndebourne ages ago, so don't miss its visit to the Proms on 28/8 with Robin Ticciati conducting the OAE. The Berliner Philharmoniker and Simon Rattle are back in two programmes, one built around Lutoslawski, the other an eclectic mix of Wagner, Ligeti, Debussy and Ravel. If this will be anything like Rattle's eclectic "Second Viennese School and after" mix in previous years, this will be the one to go to. Riccardo Chailly brings the Leipzig Gewandhaus orchestra back for two concerts, one of which is all-Mendelssohn and for me, a must. Since they are not concluding a long tour this time, we should hear them in top form. Bernard Haitink conducts the Vienna Philharmonic in Bruckner 9th and in Strauss and Hadyn on 7/9. With the Berliners, the Viennese and the Leipzigers, we hardly need any other orchestras, but the St Louis Symphony will be coming too.

The incumbent designs, maintains and updates the American Presence Post Medan websites on an ongoing basis. The incumbent will work with Public Affairs (PA) to strengthen public diplomacy efforts in Sumatra’s ten provinces by maintaining and keeping abreast of information technology (IT), web, and other new media outreach tools. S/ He directly resolves IT and telecommunication issues, and liaises with U.S. Embassy Jakarta, as needed, on problem resolution related to IT and telecommunication systems, equipment and peripherals, including digital visual conferencing (DVC) capability.

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology field is required.
  • Must have at least three years of experience, with two years in all aspects of the design and maintenance of websites.

Must also have knowledge of networks and internet applications sufficient to troubleshoot connectivity problems. S/ He should also have a solid background in computer and information technology. S/ He should have a clear understanding of the goals of the Mission and the APP, as well as the United States Government IT Policies after one year in the position.
  • Ability to design and maintenance of professional websites. Must have knowledge of, and experience in using multimedia programs. Maintenance, set up, and operation of audio visual equipment, and computer local area networks, systems and peripherals. Maintenance and operation of radio communications systems will be learned via on-the-job training.

Five common cover letter mistakes

With every resume submission, you should have a cover letter that accompanies it and presents you as a positive and qualified candidate for the job. A cover letter should highlight areas of your resume which promote your professional experience, and should address any questions an employer may have about hiring you for the job. There are five common cover letter mistakes outlined below that you must avoid in order to get through the first round of resume review and move one step closer to getting the job that you want.

1. Addressing the cover letter using a generic greeting, or misspelling the name of the personal contact or the company. The address line is the most prominent part of the cover letter; it should be included even if the cover letter is sent via email. Generic greetings are not favored; they make it seem like you have a template for your cover letter and you simply send it to all employers you are interested in working for. Do the research and find out who the appropriate contact is for the cover letter. However, make sure that they name and the company name is spelled correctly. If your address line contains errors, your cover letter is likely to never make it to the hiring manager.


2. Telling the company what they can do for your career. Simply stated, employers care about your qualifications and what you can do for the company. Do not spend your time telling the company how working for them can be great for your career. While that could be true, it certainly is not what the employers want to hear. Your potential employers want to hear how you can benefit their team; they want to know what you can bring to the table that is innovative, and focused on results. Make sure that your resume lets your employer know just why you are the best candidate for the job.

3. You re-state your resume. Do not go over the information that is in your resume in your cover letter. Your cover letter is meant to entice, and provoke the employer to review your resume in great detail. Re-stating the information in your resume doesn't address what the employers want to know, which concerns reasons why you are the best candidate for the job. Highlight certain areas of your resume but do so in the context of your career goals and how such qualifications benefit the company.

4. Starting every sentence with "I". While your cover letter is about you, starting each sentence this way will make your employer believe that your communication skills are not up to the level of your professional background. Discuss your qualifications, your goals and what you bring to the table in terms of the company, and your professional attributes.

5. Asking the employer to call you at their convenience. The most generic closing statements in cover letters ask the employer to contact you at their convenience. If you are truly excited about the opportunity with the employer, you won't want to wait for them to call you back whenever they feel like it. What you should do instead is let them know when you want to follow up – and then do follow up. Close your cover letter by letting your potential employer know that you will contact them, as well as the manner in which you will do so. This shows your interest, and your take-charge attitude.

Solar Sales will become one of the hottest jobs in the next two years. The Solar Industry is in its infancy, and many people are focusing on the installation side and neglecting the sales side. The average solar system sells for $ 20,000 and the commission received by the salesman that sells the system is close to 10%. Imagine making close to $ 2,000 on every sale you make. If you average just 2 sales a week, that is an income of $ 200,000 per year.

Now, due to the technical knowledge required to sell and install solar systems, you aren't going to be able to wake up in the morning and start selling the systems with great success. Besides having some sort of sales background, you will need to learn the terminology and also what is required with installing a solar system. Many people are going to frown upon spending $ 20,000 on anything, but if you learn the ins and outs of the system and feel confident in your sales presentation, you will succeed.

Besides having the knowledge of the system, you will have to determine how many panels are needed to produce a certain amount of power.

This is fairly easy to figure out, but you must have the knowledge. Another important aspect of your job will be determining system placement. This job will be done by the installer, but giving them a good idea of what they will be facing will help insure their success and make sure your customer is satisfied.
